Please join us for this week's Community Teleconference, held each Thursday at 2 pm.

In this teleconference session, Sustain SoCal Board member Dennis Calvert of Biolargo and Sustain SoCal members Scot Duncan of Conservant Systems and Mark Cleveland of Hytch Rewards will discuss examples of existing innovative technology solutions that are being repurposed for addressing COVID-19 challenges and those that are having their development fast-tracked to meet some of the pressing issues created by the pandemic.
Mr. Calvert will be discussing his innovative life sciences technology company and environmental engineering solutions provider that has a long history of developing iodine-based antimicrobial and decontamination technologies. Among these solutions is BioLargo’s CupriDyne® line of products, a safe and effective iodine delivery system for spraying and misting public places and enclosed spaces. The company’s subsidiary Clyra Medical Technologies is launching a FDA-registered “personal protective spray” called Clyraguard to help protect frontline workers and vulnerable persons by adding a layer of iodine-based protection to personal protective equipment. BioLargo’s Advanced Oxidation System (AOS) is already established as a powerful water treatment technology for use against viruses and bacteria.
Mr. Duncan will be discussing innovative technologies invoved with an anti-viral version of the High Efficiency Dehumidification System, (HEDS). HEDS is an energy recovery HVAC system that was developed at the request of the US Army Corps of Engineers to solve the need for a simple, robust, energy efficient dehumidification systems, that could survive with minimal labor man-hours and costs.
Mr. Cleveland will be discussing Hytch Rewards' mobility and behavior management platform, available to employers nationwide and which delivers "Shelter in Place" rewards: How incentives can be used to connect people to jobs and critical services - The Opposite-of-Congestion-Pricing and how incentives change driving behavior - Using rewards to gain greater compliance with Shelter in Place or Stay at Home orders - An alternative strategy for preparing for the second wave of COVID-19
